Endings & Beginnings

Endings & Beginnings

Creaking open the laptop, blowing off the dust. Is this thing on? So far this summer so many things shifted and changed so quickly. I barely had time to wrap my head around it all..

2025 is turning to be the year of Acknowledge, Accept, Adapt & Adjust. I had a friend in college who used to say something like this, not sure the wording is exact, but it always stuck with me. Everything has been uncertain this year, costs are rising 2-3x more than last year, events were canceled, I was ill for the entire month of February, and my brain has been foggy ever since.

Market Season began with a thud at a market that I decided to leave. This decision kept me awake for weeks and filled me with anxiety. It was the right choice once I accepted it. I wish the market much success. We had 2 good years there and this year it was just no longer a good fit for either of us.

I stepped out of my comfort zone and explored a couple new Saturday markets. Hopefully next year we will be at some of these markets more regularly. On Sundays, Horsham is home for us every week through October from 10am to 1pm. This is our 4th year at this market, and we LOVE this community. Horsham is my happy place! Horsham Farmers Market is at a new location this year, at the Horsham Township Library, 435 Babylon Rd.

It’s been a weather rollercoaster this year but somehow we made it through to August and now we are making Fall in our workshop and we are booked for the rest of the year with Fall & Holiday events.

Thank you to everyone that sent messages and cards for our 14 year old dog who left us on July 7. We was our bestie boy, and he was old. He stuck around just long enough after our other dog passed away a year ago. It is weird and it is sad to be living and working in a space that I shared with these 2 creatures for the last 14 years. I am adjusting and making new patterns. Having a young Chihuahua has brought a lot of playful energy back to our lives.

So anyway, yep, that’s what’s been happening around here. What’s up with you?

Thanks for reading and spending a few minutes here.

stay clean. smell good. live slow.
