Let’s hop into the Time Snail or the Tardis and back to the “late 1900s” when I was a middle school flute player. Two quiet band kids became friends and survived the band leader that shall not be named. (IYKYK) That’s when I met Nicole, and somehow we have managed to keep in touch over the years, through all kinds of life events and changes. When I first started Tale of the Snail, she was one of my first supporters and has been a believer in me from the start.
Fast forward to 2016 when I was setting up small displays at yoga studios, gyms & small bazaars. There was Nicole, sharing info and encouragement about events and things happening in Pottstown. We opened our Market Stand at a local market in 2017 and spent 5 years growing our business at the market. In 2022 we expanded and moved in to some larger, weekly markets & events. It was bittersweet to move in to the unknown, but I am pleased to say that many of our Pottstown customers have stayed in touch through website orders and other events. I grew up in the area and love being connected to it.
Nicole is a huge supporter of All Things Pottstown, and it shows in her shop. From the start it has been a goal to have our products in a local shop or business in the area. When she asked me to be part of the shop, I was thrilled!
The Collective is nestled in to South Hanover Street, next to Gazzo’s Steaks & a few steps away from the Downtown High Street restaurants & shops. You can’t miss the beautiful window that not only brings in beautiful lighting to the shop, but also showcases bonsai trees, artists works and seasonal window paintings. I am honored to have our products in this shop, alongside other local artists that I have known since high school. Every time I go to drop off an order, I find 1 or 2 or 5 things to buy that make me feel joyous.
Our market schedule has moved us further away from the Pottstown area and our website base is growing every week. You can find an assortment of our Castile Soap Bars, Pumps & Bottles along with our popular Handpoured Soy Candles in Tumblers & Tins.
Thanks for having us at The Collective! It's been a great smelling year.
